SPECIAL EDUCATION

The Special Education Department is comprised of five teachers and four paraprofessionals. Mrs. Buckley serves as the department head with a great staff of supportive and innovative teachers and support staff. Ms. Susann Roden is the instructor for resource English. Mr. Dizer is our resource history teacher. Our math resource classes are taught by Mrs. Carrie Campbell. Mrs. Alexandra Kirkhoff is a teacher of intensive individual instruction. Coach Yogi Gallegos will be teaching several academic courses with the functional academics program.

Our paraprofessionals include: Stephanie Buckley who works with the math department as well as Drill Team and manages the CMC program. Queen Sanders is our paraprofessional in the intensive instruction program. Yolanda Biggers is the Life Skills program para. Crystal Pickron is the paraprofessional for the resource, CMC and Life Skills Program. Coach Pickron is also an assistant coach with the girls basketball program.

The special education department works closely with the staff of CHS to assist in ensuring success for all students.
