These topics mainly pertain to those students applying for more selective (more competitive) colleges. However, even if colleges are less selective, it can be important to demonstrate your interest in attending their college. For example, forming a good relationship with an admissions counselor might lead to admission, special scholarship consideration and even jobs once you enroll! Students should also be prepared to interview with an admissions counselor if they are on campus for a visit or even in an online information session.
