Life Skills

Life skills at Cleeve Meadow School

At Cleeve Meadow recognise that in order to develop into independent and successful young people, our students need to be given the opportunity to explore, discuss and develop important life skills. These skills will help our students to function and thrive in the world outside the classroom.

We aim to ensure that they will have the self management skills and knowledge to be able to live independently and access external services and support, to understand how to be safe and stay well and how to present themselves well. The life skills curriculum links closely with the learning of functional English, the outdoor curriculum and careers programme.

Areas covered under Life Skills are Dressing Myself, Grooming, Road Safety, Shopping, Health & Wellbeing, In the Home, Making Food & Drinks
