CARE OF INJURIES / ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM
Common or Simple Injuries:
If simple first aid is needed, the coach will administer it using the supplies furnished with the team training kit.
If the injury occurs during trainer’s hours properly transport the injured athlete to the athletic training room. If the injury is more severe, call the athletic trainer immediately or send a player to the training room to get the trainer.
IF THE ATHLETIC TRAINER IS NOT AVAILABLE, THE COACH IS TO EVALUATE USING FIRST AID SKILLS.
**IF, AS DETERMINED BY THE ATHLETIC TRAINER OR COACH, THE INJURY IS FAIRLY MINOR AND DOES NOT REQUIRE EMERGENCY CARE, AND THE ATHLETE WILL BE SENT HOME UNDER HIS/HER OWN POWER, THE PARENTS SHOULD STILL BE CALLED BY THE COACH TO BE MADE AWARE OF THE INJURY.
