Station 3: Watch the video Character or Not? Pause the video after each example and make a prediction: Is it a character or not? Remember, a character is a person, animal or creature in a story.

Complete the Exit Ticket: Draw your favorite character and write a sentence about the character. Use this sentence stem to help you if needed: My favorite character is ___________ because _____________.Station 3: Online Activity

Listen to the story Chester’s Way in Lesson 1 and answer the discussion questions about the plot with an adult (see Station 2 Guiding Questions in Lesson 1). Then complete this Plot/Problem and Solution chart. You can draw your answers on notebook paper instead of printing. Then write about or act out your favorite part of the story for an adult. Use this sentence stem to help you if needed: My favorite part is ____________ because _____________.
