Week 4 Lesson 1: 4.6B differentiate between conductors and insulators of thermal and electrical energy

I can recognize the difference between conductors and insulators.

Note: The lessons below do not all have to be completed in one day. These lessons are made to be worked on throughout the week.

1. Students will watch the video, take notes using the Notes on Conductors and Insulators page or a sheet of notebook paper.

2. Students will check answers with the Notes on Conductors and Insulators key.

3. Students will complete Post Assessment on Conductors and Insulators pages or on a sheet of notebook paper.

4. Students will play Kahoot! game and log in as a guest.

Week 4 Lesson 2: 4.6C demonstrate that electricity travels in a closed path, creating an electrical circuit

I recognize a closed path, an electrical circuit, and an electromagnetic field.

1. Students will watch the video Current Electricity, take notes, and check their answers with the answer key.

2. Students will look at the anchor chart on closed and open circuits and list what they know about OPEN Circuits and CLOSED Circuits on a sheet of notebook paper.

3. Students will watch brainpop video https://www.brainpop.com/science/energy/electriccircuits/

4. They will take the quiz at the end of the video

5. They may play a one of the two, or both of the games
