Programming

Sphero is an app-controlled robotic ball that can be programmed through hands-on, engaging activities. There are many free apps that can be used to operate the Sphero balls from district owned Chromebooks and iPads, or personal devices. The Sphero app will be used to level up individual Sphero’s speed, colors, core reactor, and boost times, and to complete missions to master navigation skills. The Sphero Edu app offers graduated levels of coding experience, from drawing to using code blocks to writing text programs in JavaScript for more advanced coders. While using the Sphero SPRK program, students will learn critical social competencies necessary for academic and life success, like resiliency, self-management, teamwork, and responsible decision-making skills.
