Good Morning, Scholars,
Some of you have asked about access to self-paced courses. We are currently transitioning our self-paced coursework into our Canvas system (schedule below). The purpose of this process is to provide you a high-quality, consistent user experience. However, due to the limitations of Google Classroom and Wayground, this is a manual process. Each course material and assessment must be rebuilt in Canvas. Please bear with us as we work through this.
What You Can Expect
Once our first course is ready, we will add you to Canvas and send you an email with instructions for logging into that system.
Then, we will register you for the course. You will receive an email from Canvas letting you know that you've been registered and you will see the course appear on your dashboard.
Course Experience
Workflow will be fairly similar to our Google Classroom self-paced courses. However, there are a couple of differences.
You will work through the modules and assessments in order.
You will have a clear "Grades" section to know how you've done.
Assessments will be done in Canvas, so you will not have to fight with Wayground grades not syncing.
Once done with the course, you will still fill out a course evaluation form, which will inform me that you've finished the course. I will review your grades and issue your certificate.
Finishing Current Courses
If you have started a self-paced course in Google Classroom, You will lose access to all Google Classroom materials on February 15, 2026. If you finish in Google Classroom, we will issue your certificate. If not, then you will need to start over in Canvas. The two systems will not be synced.
Course Release Schedule
We hope to release the self-paced courses on the following days:
2-13 WI American Indian Tribes and Bands PI 34.022 3a
2-20 Women and Minority History, Culture and Contributions PI 34.022 3b

Good Morning, Scholars,
I hope you had a great weekend! There has been a recent change to the FoRT website. I have updated the link on the CESA 7 FoRT page. Some of you have been asking about not being able to see the test dates that are available.
The new process is that when you register for your assessment, you have up to one year to claim a seat. You can see the dates available before clicking the register button on the main registration page. Just click the "Check seat availability."
This will bring you to another page, where you will select "NES - National Evaluation Series" and then scroll down to find NT 890.
If you have other questions about how to register for your assessment, please use the following information from the NES Contact Us page. I have also added this link to the CESA 7 FoRT page for your convenience.

Good afternoon, friends of Praxis,
I trust you are gearing up for a restful holiday season. I am looking forward to spending a few days with family and friends.
To continue my quest to remain transparent and proactive, I am reaching out to share a matter that was brought to leadership’s attention and our subsequent action plan to remedy this issue.
Issue:
On September 30, 2025, our website team implemented a systems enhancement release that inadvertently impacted a feature we previously implemented to prevent candidates from not selecting their attending institutions as free score report recipients. Unfortunately, the feature that forced a candidate to select or at least acknowledge this option was removed on September 30, 2025. As a result, some of your candidates identified an attending institution, but failed to select this attending institution as one of their free score report recipients.
Once the DEP team was alerted to this, we communicated with the website development team and implemented a corrective action plan. As such, we have implemented a website change that will go into effect tomorrow, December 16, 2025. It reverts to the original logic that prompts a candidate to identify their attending institution as a free score recipient. Additionally, the internal protocols have been adjusted to provide DEPs visibility in future website development and planned releases to identify any potential issues with proposed changes.
While several candidates did select their attending institutions as additional free score report recipients, we understand that some candidates did not. Consequently, these candidates’ scores did not report to their AI, and test-takers were directed to request and pay for an additional score report (ASR).
This is our plan for those impacted candidates:
1. Test takers who registered between September 30, 2025, and December 16, 2025, and identified their attending institution but did not identify their Attending Institution as a free score report recipient are eligible. To receive either a refund or a free ASR, they simply need to contact our customer service at 1-800-772-9476.
2. Please note that only those candidates who identified an attending institution when prompted and registered within the specified dates (9/30/2025 – 12/16/2025) will qualify for this refund or ASR. The attending institution code must be the same as the ASR code.
3. Impacted candidates must contact ETS Praxis by February 15, 2026. (Note: If no AI is listed, candidates should not contact customer service.)
Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused by this website change. We strive to make the test registration and score reporting processes as user-friendly and positive as possible for our future educators and for the institutions and agencies that support them.
I appreciate your continued partnership and look forward to working with you in the new year. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or constructive feedback.
Yours in Education,
Dr. Monica A. Beane, NBCT
Head of Educational Partnerships

Good Morning, Scholars!
As we inch closer to winter break, I know some of you have some questions about wrapping up the term. Below you will find some guidance and updates that I hope will help you navigating the end of this term and the beginning of the next. Please read all items carefully. Buckle up - this is going to be a long one. My apologies for that
Payments
New Payment Status in Plan
I have begun updating your success plan tabs with line items for your payments that will show the date of your payment and give a link to your payment receipt. I hope to have all of those items updated no later than January 15th.
Fall Term Payments
If you still have not paid your Fall Term fee and we haven't talked, please send me an email or schedule me so I know how you plan on taking care of that. I will not be issuing course completion certificates to unpaid scholars and you will not be able to continue to next term without having a plan in place.
Spring Term Payments
Normally, our spring term payment is two weeks prior to the start of the term. Tim has approved my request to extend the spring payment deadline to January 15th. If you need help with making that payment, please contact me.
Program Tasks
Your program tasks - purple items on your checklist - should be done by next Friday at the latest (I realize that some pre-clin, clinical observations are still wrapping up into January, which is fine). When done, you should see a status of "Complete" and a date in your checklist. I will be reviewing checklists starting Monday, December 23rd. If something is done on your checklist, but it is not marked complete, I welcome you to send me an email to let me know. Some of the items that should be done include:
Self-Assessments
Scholars - Score, comment and notify your Teacher-Coach
Teacher-Coaches - Initial, mark complete and email me

Mentor Observations
Mentors - Comment, sign, date, and notify the scholar and Teacher-Coach
Scholars - Comment, sign, date, and notify me. Also, make sure your lesson plans are in the folder that I shared with you earlier in the semester. If you need that link, please let me know. I can help you with that
Coursework
Please make sure that you have completed your self-paced courses in your plan by December 31st. This allows us to wrap up the semester and start fresh in the spring. Don't forget to do the course evaluation. When you do, your instructor gets an email saying the course eval is done (information is not shared with them at that time). That email triggers your instructor to give you credit for the course.
Assessments
If you have a FoRT or Praxis in your plan, please know that you have some latitude in choosing when to complete your test. If you would like me to change your test to a different term, please let me know.
Website Updates
I continue to make updates the website that I hope will help you. Recent updates include:
Divided the assessment page into a main page with sub-pages for each assessment and a 240 page.
Updated the WI Teacher Standards Page with dropdown descriptions of the teacher standards and the sub-bullets that scholars are evaluated on in our program. Added a ChatGPT prompt scholars can use when thinking about how they can improve their performance in sub-standards.
Updated the Observations Page
Thanks for reading. You can find this information on the Updates Page.

Conflict Resolution is a course that is on many of your plans for this term. There are three ways that you can satisfy this stipulation in our program.

Have your district supervisor send me a letter (template text) on district letterhead attesting that you have demonstrated competency this area. and other persons. OR

Action Required
By default, you have a Conflict Resolution course on your plan and can take one of two paths - take the course or submit other documentation:
If you plan to take the course, you have two options:
Start now by joining the course in Google Classroom using the code: lv7vcok
Wait until January when the and start the course in January in our new LMS (only if you are not in your pre-clinical semester)
If you plan to submit documentation, please just send me a separate email indicating that.
