Transitional housing is housing where program participants have signed a lease or occupancy agreement, the purpose of which is to facilitate the movement of homeless individuals and families into permanent housing within 24 months or less.
Mz. Shirliz Transitional Housing program offers formerly incarcerated men returning to Central and East County that are on AB 109, felony probation, or parole a transitional and clean sober living environment for up to 6 months - rent free. Mz. Shirllz transitional offers recovery and group meetings, and connections to employment and education resources.

Life House Recovery Homes offers housing services to men, women, and women with children in recovery from drugs, alcohol and related behaviors by providing a safe and sober living environments in Alameda County, Contra Costa County, and San Joaquin County.
There are four (4) homes in Concord for men, women, and women with children! They offer bunk beds in shared rooms, and this includes all utilities. Each house is fully furnished including the kitchen. They also provide internet access, washer/dryer, TP cleaning supplies, and more! The houses are conveniently located near public transportation.
