PROGRESS MONITORING
Requirement
The IDEA requires that LEAs must provide progress reports to the parents of students receiving special education and related services. Progress Monitoring is required to be completed during the reporting periods for other students.
IEP Documentation
On the bottom of IEP- Present Levels and Goals with Objectives/Benchmarks (Form IEP 38) each Case Manager completes the following item:
PROGRESS REPORT METHOD AND FREQUENCY
Report Provided: With Grade Reports at Conferences Other: Frequency: Semester
Frequency is at the discretion of the IEP Team. In Yosemite Valley and Monarch River, frequency is typically completed at semester to coincide with the distribution of general education report cards.
CASE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITY
IDEA requires that each Case Manager provide a Progress Report for each student on each of their goals and objectives and sent home to the parent. Failure to provide progress monitoring reports is in violation of Federal and State regulations.
