Ruby in a gold frame

My idea was to paint my cat. Her name is ruby. I was trying to make it vintage and elegant because she acts like a princess. my origanal idea was just to do her face, but i then thought it would be cool to do a picture frame to. Then it was just a plain pink backround and it didnt really stick out. As i was going for a vintage look i then added a unique pattern. I first started by painting a pink backround. I then sketched out my cat head and did the face to with a pencil. Then i painted in her face using acyrlic paints. for the highlights in the eyes i used a paint marker. Then i usd a very thin brush for the whiskers. For the frame i painted that, and some of the lines i used a gold paint marker. The white lined pattern in the frame is drawn with a paint marker. The artwork has no meaning. This is just a painting of my cat. It shows her as a cat and that she thinks shes a princess. The most difficult part was the white pattern in the backround because it was confusing to draw. Some of the designs i free drew myself becuase i was very difficult. I dont think i would change anything, i just wish that the frame looked a little more realistic. I think the type of art is realistic. I think its unique to my personal style because i love cats and i also like vintage things. I love the way the cat turned out. I also really like how the pattern is in the backround.
