Lily Pauly "Pencil Cat"

This was a project I was given to work on. I chose to do a cat becuase I feel like a cat represents me and its also my favorite animal. I feel like cats are very independent and loyal which are 2 qualities that I would consider that fit me. My process was to draw out my cat with a pencil and then draw my pencils into the body of the cat. Then I used a micron pen to outline all of the lines, then colored it in with colored pencils. The art work is just a symbol of a animal that represents me. The most difficult part for me was to do the outline of the cats body. Its always been a challange for me to make things symmetrical and the proportions right. The rest wasn't very difficult it was just very time consuming. The style i would say would be realism and abstract because of the shape of the cat but also the pencils inside of it would make it abstract. Its unique to me becuase its a cat.
