Lily Pauly "Lemons"

My idea for this was to make something realistic. Ive been into drawing flowers and fruits this semester. I struggle with finding things to draw so I looked for some inspiration. My process was to first add the stripes to the background using a ruler. I then drew my cutting board and my lemons. For this I used colored pencils for everything. The artwork has no meaning. Its just a summery drawing. The most difficult part of this was the wood. Wood for me is very hard to draw. Its hard to make all the little details look realistic. If I could start over maybe instead of the striped backround, maybe I could have put it on a table or something. This is realistic drawing, and its personal to my own style becuase its a fruit and I draw those pretty frequently.
