Realism

My idea was to paint this picture I took of my cat. Its a picture I took a few years ago of him in my backyard. I first started by drawing my outlines. I then painted the body first. I then worked on the outside. I used thin brushes to get the fur realistic. The artwork doesn't have a meaning. its just a painting of my cat. At first I was going to paint the painting exactly like the photo, but he was laying in the grass. Grass is really challanging for me to paint. I worked on it for a few classes and then I decided to do something else in the backround. I ended up painting him sitting in a chair. This painting is realism. I really like how the fur looks. I think thats the most realistic thing on the painting.
