Exploring Canvas
Description:
This course will prepare students to work within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to set up and manage an online course. Students will investigate and manipulate components of Canvas from an instructor's perspective. Graded on A-F basis only.
Reflection:
This was the last of three courses pertaining to Learning Management Systems that I had taken. This course was structured in a module format. Each module tasked me with building my own Canvas class with modules of my own. I built off of my modules to create a mock learning experience for students. I had two fake student accounts that I would use to see the student point of view and complete assignments. I had the opportunity to grade the fake student accounts and see the grading features that canvas had to offer. As I went through the course I found that of all three Learning Management Systems that I studied I found Canvas to be the best from the teacher and student perspective. The features and navigation were more user friendly and the ability to grade assignments and provide feedback were features that I found to be very helpful.
