LFO's Agriscience pathways are comprised of Companion Animal Systems Pathways, Horticulture & Animal Systems Pathway as well as the Plant & Floriculture Systems Pathway.
Companion Animal Systems
This pathway is designed to give students knowledge of general agriculture and the National FFA Organization, animal science, and small animal care. This pathway aims to introduce students to the animal and companion animal field. Students will obtain skills in animal husbandry, genetics, managing livestock, veterinary science, and general pet care.
Horticulture & Animal Science Pathway
This pathway is designed to give students knowledge of general agriculture and the National FFA Organization, animal science, and animal production. This pathway aims to introduce students to the animal and horticulture science field. Students will obtain skills in animal husbandry, genetics, managing livestock, plant science, and greenhouse management.
Plant & Floriculture Systems Pathway
This pathway is designed to give students knowledge of general agriculture, the National FFA Organization, horticulture, and nursery landscaping. This pathway introduces major concepts of plant and horticulture science. It also provides students with the basic skills and knowledge utilized by the green industry in nursery production and management.
