Hello My Name Is Nataijia Leishman
I started my career here at BYU-I in the winter of 2019, and I hope to graduate in fall 2024. For the last five years, I have gained a lot of knowledge in my desired career as a teacher. Through the many experiences I have been given at BYU-I, I taught the youngest grades of Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 6th grade. I learned a lot from my fellow mentor teachers as well as my fellow teacher candidates. I learned that the kind of teacher I want to be is answered by two words.
Actively involved, through my Professional growth I have learned that it takes more than showing up to be a teacher it takes active planning as well as mental and physical challenges, but I will do that to show my students that learning is worth it.
That is the motto I have gotten from my experiences at BYU-I learning is worth it.
