As in other professions, the complexity of teaching requires continued growth and development in order for teachers to remain current. Continuing to stay informed and increasing their skills allows teachers to become ever more effective and to exercise leadership among their colleagues. The academic disciplines themselves evolve, and educators constantly refine their understanding of how to engage students in learning; thus, growth in content, pedagogy, and information technology are essential to good teaching. Networking with colleagues through such activities as joint planning, study groups, and lesson study provides opportunities for teachers to learn from one another. These activities allow for job-embedded professional development. In addition, professional educators increase their effectiveness in the classroom by belonging to professional organizations, reading professional journals, attending educational conferences, and taking university classes. As they gain experience and expertise, educators find ways to contribute to their colleagues and to the profession.
(Danielson, C. 2013)
I am a very busy student so I listen to a podcast to be able to learn and grow individual. this is the one that I been using this Semester.
Listeing to the educational podcast about pedagogy will effectively demonstrate my understanding of Danielson Framework 4e, which focuses on "Growing and Developing Professionally." By producing listening to the podcast, I'm actively engaging in professional learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues, two key aspects of this component. The podcast format allows me to synthesize and present information on various teaching strategies, research findings, and best practices in education, showcasing my commitment to ongoing professional development. Moreover, by discussing pedagogical approaches, I'm demonstrating my ability to stay current with instructional strategies and educational trends, another important element of 4e. This initiative also reflects my willingness to contribute to the professional community, as I'm creating a resource that other educators can use for their own growth. Furthermore, developing this podcast will provide me with valuable experience and resources that I can leverage during my future student teaching, allowing me to apply these pedagogical concepts in a real classroom setting and demonstrate my proactive approach to professional growth.
