The premise of this portfolio is to teach student-teachers what formative assessment is and how they can apply it to their teaching careers. It can and will help teachers aid students in progressing effectively in their academic pursuits. Formative assessment is when a teacher goes the extra mile to understand how his or her students think, learn, and act. Formative assessment has many strategies such as; Taking notes, 1-on-1 meetings, pre-course surveys, emails, anonymous voting, feedback papers, classroom polls, opportunities for questions, reviews, and etc. This Portfolio will help present and future teachers become the teachers every student needs to succeed passionately and diligently. The results will come and students will love learning again because of the efforts through formative assessment.
I hope you all can learn something from this portfolio I have created and be able to move forward with a vision of becoming the best teacher you can be.
