Session Description: This year Broomfield High School Women’s Leadership club is supporting the Denver-based nonprofit CWEE or the Center for Work Education and Employment. CWEE supports vulnerable workers, mostly single moms, and teaches them skills needed to launch successful careers. They work to address the root causes of poverty and many complex barriers to long-term employment for hundreds of families each year in the Denver-Metro area. In 2022, CWEE is celebrating its 40th anniversary and over 16,000 families served. Hear stories of incredible resilience and growth from various CWEE alumni as well as the CEO of CWEE.
Elizabeth attended CWEE in 2018. She came originally came to CWEE in order to receive benefits for herself and her daughter, and while there, found a lot more support than she expected. Currently, she is the Care Coordinator for Shift Chiropractic in Denver.

You are Remarkable--Cult or Not
Vee Lipsey - Cult Survivor
Session Description: Vee Lipsey will be sharing her life story of being raised in a cult to where she is now. She will be speaking to her struggles but more importantly what she has learned from them and how she has grown.
Speaker Description: Vee Lipsey is the definition of remarkable. Vee had to completely restart her life and build something new for herself growing up in a cult and getting out in her mid-twenties. She makes her way through life and overcoming constant obstacles like being what she considers a five-time minority being an African American, gay, woman, raised in a cult, and now over forty. With all of these challenges, Vee has undoubtedly excelled and demonstrated what it means to be a remarkable woman.
