Kerry O’Grady is a retired supervisory United States Secret Service Special Agent. Having spent 25 years in a white, male-dominated field, she is witness to workplace disparities and unconscious biases that prevent women and minorities from obtaining equality in the workplace and criminal justice system. Determined to use her privilege and energy to advocate for the rights of women and minorities, she has served on the leadership team for Womxn’s March Denver since 2018. In support of women and her community, Kerry has volunteered her time with the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program (now The Blue Bench), A Little Help (serving the elderly in our community) and NARAL Pro Choice Colorado (now Cobalt). Kerry is devoted to disabling systems of oppression and empowering women and girls everywhere.
Kerry Humphrey is an inspiration and stellar example of the amazing things one can accomplish despite the hardships that they may endure. In 2012, Kerry was sentenced to jail for 60 days with four years of probation and 2,000 hours of community service. After completing her jail sentence, Kerry faced major career barriers and struggled to find her self-worth. Through perseverance and passion, Kerry Humphrey became the owner of a successful company called Pearl Street Lights. She works to empower other people who face employment barriers with a nonprofit job training program and has high hopes for the expansion of her company.
