Prior to 2015 at Broomfield High School, there was a Men's Leadership program, but no Women's. A student recognized this need and proposed BHS offer a Women's Leadership course. With the help of administration and dedicated sponsors, the Women's Leadership program was founded in 2014 to support the empowerment and development of women leaders in Broomfield.
Now, after 11 highly successful years of developing leadership in young women, the program has taken on a dual purpose of leadership and philanthropy. The leaders strive to serve their communities while advancing their own leadership skills, and helping their peers advance their leadership skills as well. The program has helped to develop over 100 women to be successful leaders and professionals in their lives and plans to develop hundreds more in the years to come.
