12 Game Design

Video game design is the process of combing art, programming to design the gameplay, environment, storyline, and characters in an interactive medium. At Burnside students can study Game Design at year 11 to 13 within the Digital Technology curriculum.

The Video Game market is huge. As of 2018, video games generated sales of US$134.9 billion annually worldwide and its still growing, so there are plenty of opportunities to work in this industry. Larger than the movie and music industries combined.

Additionally the course is designed to teach a wide range of skills including project management, teamwork, leadership, and self-directed learning.
