The purpose of this project is to create a common resource for all areas of Digital Technologies, including clubs associated with the area.
The Burnside Robotics Club has four teams competing. We went to the Worlds in Texas last year. Lets see what happens this year.... Good luck to all competitors with preparation and competition.
Over the weekend of the 24th-25th of September the NIWA Canterbury Science and Technology Fair was held at the University of Canterbury. We had 4 entries and all came away winning prizes!
2nd in Senior (year 11-13) Technology

3rd in Senior Technology
The joint entries from the Burnside Robotics team consisting of Ryan Moynihan, Guo, Ryoga Wisjnuery, Alex Cutforth, Alex Rickard, Ezra Cheyne for their two frisbee throwing robots.
3rd in Year 9 Technology
Corey Griffiths for his work on an electric cart for the e-velocity competition.
Each entry won cash prizes and it was great to see their hard work being rewarded and acknowledged.
A group of students – Tahi Davies, Thomas Williams and Andrew Williams – entered the Interface Minecraft competition. Their entry, ‘Turtles and Trash’, won the Secondary (Years 9+) category. Congratulations to them!
