My name is Luna Horsley and I am a current sophomore at Bucknell University. I am pursuing a Psychology major as well as a Biology minor. Growing up, I was always very passionate about marine biology and have always wanted to work with marine life in some capacity. In addition, my own cultural background as a Japanese person is something that is very important to me. I am excited to combine my two interests in Professor Takahashi’s lab by researching the conservation of amphibians and aiding in the communication between the lab here in Lewisburg and other amphibian labs in Japan.

Outside of my academic work, I am involved with many Asian cultural communities on campus, holding leadership in Bucknell’s Japan society. I am also a T.E.A.M. mentor as well as an RA. I am an active participant in many initiatives and organizations committed to multiculturalism at Bucknell such as the Global Student Council and Multicultural student services. I love to travel, boulder, and listen to music in my free time.

After graduation, I hope to pursue some kind of career that involves both psychology and biology, perhaps in the field of animal behavior. I am interested in continuing my education and would love to branch out into the marine biology field and continue doing critical research similar to what we are conducting in Professor Takahashi’s lab.
