Early Childhood

Nona Taylor

I’m excited to start my sixth year of teaching in Stebbins. I’ve taught school for 16 years, five years here in Stebbins. In 2012 I moved here with my cat, Sadie, and many boxes of quilting fabrics and supplies from Las Vegas, Nevada.

I graduated from Northwest Christian University in Eugene Oregon with a degree in Business Management. I went on to receive Master of Business Administration from the University of Oregon. After retiring from Sony Disc Manufacturing as a planning analyst, I returned to college to receive a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from UNLV. Over the past 16 years I have earned Master’s Degrees in Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Special Education, Early Childhood Autism, and Speech Language Pathology from UNLV as well as UAF.

I have had three of my quilts and patterns published in books. I spend my evenings creating quilts for family and friends. I spend my summer and vacations in Oregon with my mom and/or Las Vegas with my daughter. My family lives in Nevada, Washington, California, Idaho, Missouri, and Oregon.
