Daisy Katcheak

I was born and raised in St. Michael, Alaska. I moved to Stebbins in 1995 and have worked at WBB School for 6 years.

Before coming to work for the school I had a variety of positions, including Administration for Native Americans (ANA) Coordinator, Certified Community Health Aide Practitioner/EMT III, and St. Michael Postmaster.

I’ve also held volunteer positions on the Board of Directors for Tapraq, Inc. - a non-profit social service organization, on the City Council for both Stebbins and St. Michael, and have been an AEC member here in Stebbins.

Working at the school I like watching the children learn and grow together, and I enjoy helping to instill unity and pride with the children and community.

When I’m not at work I love to cook and bake. I love to subsistence gather and hunt with family and friends. I love basketball and watching movies.

This school year I’m looking forward to being a basketball coach to create unity, pride, and confidence in our children, school and community.

I was born and I grew up in Stebbins, and have been working at Tukurngailnguq School for going on 18 years.

Before working at the school I helped out on subsistence activities.

I like working here and seeing all the students accomplishing their learning, graduating, and succeeding!

When I’m not at work I enjoy berry picking and helping others.

I’m looking forward to another year of everyone working together and helping students. Go for the best!!
