COVID-19, known to some as SARS-CoV-2, is a type of coronavirus that leads to an upper-respiratory infection. As of May 6th, 3.7 million people worldwide have been diagnosed, about 1.2 million have recovered, and a little over a quarter million have died. However, it’s important to remember that not everyone with coronavirus is diagnosed. Effective prevention includes social distancing, wearing cloth masks, hand washing, and coughing and sneezing into your elbow. People at higher risk include older adults, people with severe obesity, and people with asthma, liver problems, or HIV. There are many symptoms, like the flu, muscle pain, and chills.
It is springtime, and people who have allergies may have symptoms of COVID such as headache, cough, or sore throat.

Australia has fire seasons every summer but summer of 2019 for them was especially extreme. New South Wales was the hardest hit though every Australian state got hit. But recently New South Wales got hit with a colossal downpour. Which helped the fires get under control and basically extinguished, but it did lead to flooding so people had to evacuate. The fires led on for 240 days before the downpour. But that 240 days before led to 28 deaths, 3,000 homes destroyed, 18 million hectares burned, 5,900 buildings burned and up to a billion animals affected. So, in all honesty, the rain did help but it did lead to even more problems. The smoke in the air could lead to more pollution and more health problems for citizens. Neither one is better nor worse. All in all, Australia is recovering from this dreadful event slowly but surely.

Meghan Markle and Harry Windsor recently removed themselves from the royal family of England. Part of the reason was that allegedly Meghan didn’t feel like she belonged. But a lot of backlash has been coming from their departure. According to BBC, their departure was “...was so abrupt and so disrespectful.” The couple also did not like the restrictions royalty put on them. BBC speculates that they might be open to a significant degree in service of the royal family. Contrary to BBC’s statement, the royal family supports them as they “embark on the next chapter of their lives.” Buckingham Palace said they most definitely have the Queen’s blessing. So all in all Meghan, Harry, and the royal family are all at peace.

The British exit or Brexit is the departure of Britain from the European Union. The European Union or EU is according to BBC, “...an economic and political union involving 28 European countries. It allows free trade, which means goods can move between member countries without any checks or extra charges. The EU also allows free movement of people, to live and work in whichever country they choose.” Brexit was supposed to happen on March 29th, 2019 but the deadline got pushed back two more times. The final deadline was set for January 31, 2020. Britain is now officially deported from the EU and they are still communicating how to carry out immigration, trade, and other services.

The Coronavirus (now called COVID-19) is a virus that originated in China and has further lost control and killed numerous people. Just on Monday (2/10/20), the virus claimed another 108 lives. The death toll is more than 1,000. China is our main manufacturer meaning they are the supplier for surgical and medical tools, antibiotics, face masks so they will most likely prioritize themselves before fulfilling the United States orders. The FDA just recently evacuated China. Many countries, including Japan, Russia, and more, have many travel restrictions to China. The Coronavirus is mainly spread by coughing and sneezing. China is quarantining 56 million people, with it that they hope to slow the spread of the virus. Recently spray trucks have been spraying a low concentration bleach solution to spray down entire Chinese cities such as Wuhan, Shanghai, and Beijing. Instead of spraying whole cities, United States officials are saying to spray specific areas such as emergency rooms, and communal places. The U.S is sending Hydrogen Peroxide solution to do so. There are 42,000 people infected. The virus is suspected to come from bats. Even asymptomatic people may have it. A mother who didn’t look or feel like she had it transmitted it to her 30 hour old newborn. The virus is also believed to be transmitted from an endangered species called a Pangolin. The U.S. is sending medicine that can treat many diseases but they are in a trial to see if they respond to the virus. Speculation says the virus has been a thing for many years but it has just now mutated. Updates will be coming
