This week's athlete of the week is Joni Melgar. I asked Joni what sports he plays, he said, “soccer and basketball because they are both fun and I'm very competitive!” Next, I asked him what inspires him. He said, “my dad because he taught me how to play the sport from a young age.” Finally, I asked him what he learned from sports, “I have learned from sports that you are going to lose, but you have to keep your head up because if you don't you're going to keep losing.” Joni plays center back for soccer and point guard for basketball, and the last thing he said was: “the students are going to win this year’s basketball game!” Let's hope his predictions right!
Thanks Joni!
