Welcome to A-level photography!

We are really looking forward to working with you to explore your creativity through this exciting medium.

Please carry out the tasks outlined over the summer and bring your work with you to your first lesson.

Task 1

Take a series of photographs exploring and responding to each of the following themes.

Self-portrait

Reflection

Light

Beauty

Movement

Be creative. Try to think differently. Does a self-portrait have to show the face? What does ‘beauty’ really mean to you? How could T you show movement?

Task 2

Choose your favourite image for each theme and present all five in a PowerPoint document (or similar). Create a slide for each theme with a title, the image and some notes to explain why you chose to shoot it the way you did.
