DVA patients qualify for free transport to and from the clinic . Some will arrange this themselves, but we can arrange it on their behalf. You will need the patient DVA number. This should be stored in the Patient Details in Exact, in the fields titled "Payor, Payor #".
Ask the patient if they would like us to arrange transport. If yes:
Locate the DVA number
Locate the patient address
Call 1800 550 455
Quote the DVA number, and order a cab for the appropriate time.. Clarify if the time is the pick-up time or the appointment time.
Add the cab booking reference number to the appointment notes
Notify the patient to expect a cab.
Disabled Veterans Association members have their fees covered by the government using a system called PRODA (Provider Digital Access).

Log into Proda
Go to Reports/DVA Webclaim reports
Enter patients DVA number & name & search patient
Add D in front of codes & amounts for Dental services and S in front of the code for specialist services
Add new service item per dental code
Check amount matches Exact
Submit
Log into proda
Go to Reports/DVA Webclaim reports
Set dates for the report and request
Reports take 2 days to be processed
After two days go to the home messages section and open the Excel report
In Exact, navigate to payers/DVA
Confirm payment received from patient matches Exact outstanding debtor amount.
Open payment and enter the amount received and allocate to the patient
CDBS is the same except the payer is Medicare
