Session 2

Section 2 overview

(teachers - timings are very flexible, go quicker or slower as you see fit. Suggested timings are below, I do not know the exact outline of the day )

10:30 - 12:30 - Complete individual tasks. If students finish one task, then perhaps they can take on a different project scope, eg move on from writer to Historian

10:30 - 12:30 - keep a note of questions that occur

10:30 - 12:30 - ICT Project Manager to begin building the presentation in whatever the chosen format is.

Individual projects

You now need to work on your individual projects. What you present is up to you, you are not restricted to Slides or PowerPoint, but remember your presentation will be one single file. Think about how you represent your work, you can write a diary but a single document would not be that interesting. An essay on the origin story would be awesome, but how do you translate your work into something that is interesting in your group presentation? Photographs? Scans?

Questions

As part of this exercise, you get to ask questions of the specialists at MIT. Create a document as a group about the questions you want to ask. You will get a chance to record them after lunch.

You will make assumptions about your world as this exercise progresses. Your teacher, (as clever as he or she is) will not necessarily be as clever as the people working at MIT. There is time after lunch for you to record messages to send to MIT, but as you work through the tasks remember to write your questions down as it will make this afternoon's task a lot easier.

Submit your questions to Dr Seager here on Global Campus - https://globalcampus.nae.school/course/view.php?id=1125 (there will be time to do this in session 3)
