Scientist (Chemist)

The Chemist has a lot of important roles to play.

The team is going to require:

  • An understanding of the chemical makeup of the atmosphere. (Is there one?)

  • An understanding of the chemical makeup of the compounds that surround us, (are they recognisable, perhaps they are not)

  • An understanding of whether the surrounding environment could sustain earth life. If it cannot sustain earth life, can we make changes to the surroundings? What sort of life do you think it could sustain?

How do you achieve this?

I am sure there are lots of other things that I have not mentioned. As Chief Chemist it is your job to ensure that you can advise on all things related to Chemistry.

Of course, in any scientific field, you need to be clear about your assumptions and what you have based them on (if any).

Create mind maps, equations, drawings, descriptions, in fact anything that is going to show of your knowledge of Chemistry.

If you choose to create something physical - take photos of them and ensure that they are submitted as part of the final presentation.
