Engineer

The Engineer has a lot of important roles to play.

The team is going to require:

  • An understanding of how you are going to get around? What buggies or cars or hovercraft do you have in the spacecraft? Will that work with the environment you have discovered? Can you make a model?

  • An understanding of the surrounding environment on the human team members. What are you going to eat? Where are you going to sleep?

  • An understanding of the surrounding environment on the life forms you encounter. Where do they live? How do they play?

How do you achieve this?

Can you sketch a buggy? Can you take inspiration from the Mars Rover? If you found buildings, can you model them? What about the habitat you are going to survive in? Is it going to be a grass hut or a full biome? You can sketch or model - but you have to design something to solve a problem.

I am sure there are lots of other things that I have not mentioned. As Chief Engineer it is your job to ensure that you can advise on all things related to Engineering. If you choose to create something physical - take photos of them and ensure that they are submitted as part of the final presentation.
