After 22 years at the helm of the Big Spring Bulldog program this Coach is still ready to learn new tricks to get us back to the top of the table once again. I have always been a person who loves a good quote and any player who I have coached has heard their fair share of these little pearls of wisdom. “Motivation starts it… Consistency keeps it moving forward…Determination finishes it!!

Ryan Long, Assistant Coach

Ryan was a 1999 graduate of Big Spring High School, and enjoyed a four year soccer career. While teaching Business Education at Gettysburg High School he coached both the high school Boys' and Girls' soccer teams from 2004-2008. Ryan and his family moved back to the district in 2008 and he is currently the Director of a local church camp and conference center called Camp YoliJwa.

Greg Ellerman, Assistant Coach

I am a Big Spring High School graduate of 2003. I played 4 years of varsity soccer during high school. Prior to high school I played for the Newville Area Community Center. I attended Dickinson College where I was unable to continue playing soccer due to injury. Following college I taught for 6 years at an alternative special education school. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach at Big Spring Middle School where I continue teaching today. My soccer coaching experience ranges from BSYSA recreational league for 3 years and U-13 travel for 1 season. I kicked off my school coaching experience with Jr. High Soccer in the spring of 2022 and JV Soccer in the fall of 2022. I am passionate about the game and I aim to continue growing my knowledge and coaching skills as we move into the Jr. High Soccer season this spring.
