Coach Jason Creek will be entering his 12th season as the head coach for the Big Spring Boys Basketball program. Coach Creek is the winningest coach in Big Spring boys’ basketball school history with 119 career wins. Before coming home to his alma mater, Coach Creek was the head coach at West Perry High School in 2012-2013 and a varsity assistant at Carlisle Area High School in 2011-2012. Coach Creek has helped develop several Mid-Penn League all-stars, a PIAA All-State all-star, and five 1,000-point scorers. Coach Creek’s Bulldogs have tournament championships from the Biglerville Tip-off Tournament (2016 & 2017), Big Spring Holiday Classic (2015 & 2017), York Tech Holiday Tournament (2022), and the JT Kuhn Memorial Tip Off Tournament (2022 & 2023).

Under Coach Creek’s guidance the Big Spring boys’ basketball program has strung together seven straight double-digit winning seasons from 2018-2024. The 2023-2024 season was one of the most successful seasons in school history with the Bulldogs earning a trip to the PIAA District 3 Championship game for the first time since 1963. The 19-win season is the second most single season wins in school history. Along with a district silver medal in the 2024 season the Bulldogs also qualified for their first ever trip to the PIAA State Tournament. Coach Creek’s five playoff appearances is the most by any coach in school history.

Coach Creek is a Big Spring High School Alumni (03’) and holds a B.A. in Recreation & Athletic Coaching from Shepherd University, WV (08’). Coach Creek and his wife Emily reside in Newville, with their four children; Sheldon (11), Hadley (10), Cooper (6), and Knox (3).
