We're excited to introduce a fantastic upgrade to your teaching workspaces to enhance your work experience – The Athena Learning Teaching Setup!
We're confident that this upgrade will make the teaching experience more seamless and effective. If you have any questions or need assistance with the setup, feel free to reach out to our IT support team, or check our FAQ below.
With dual monitors, you can now work on one screen while keeping essential references, documents, or communication tools open on the other. This setup is designed to streamline your workflow, boost productivity, and make multitasking a breeze.
The two-screen set-up has revolutionised the classroom as any registers or confidential data can be hidden away from the pupils and access to ClassCharts throughout the lesson is easy!
- J Salisbury, Head of Maths Faculty
There will not be any significant differences in how you operate the computer, apart from having another screen to work with. With that in mind, please see the following key points of information
Your primary monitor is the one directly in front of you
Your secondary monitor will show the same display as your projector - these are linked together
You will be able to drag and drop windows between displays
Using a visualiser in the classroom makes the quest for excellence much easier. It allows you to easily display examples of work either modelled by the teacher or produced by the pupil.
“Visualisers are especially helpful in Textiles, where I may need to show students how to thread a hand-sewing needle, or how to produce a hand embroidery stitch technique. The visualiser enables me to show them up close and on a larger scale”
- E Heale, Technology Teacher
These new visualisers will work the same as the old ones, but are much newer and of higher quality.
You can use the visualiser through the following software:
The Hue desktop app (This is installed on our computers)
The camera desktop app
