Home Support:
AASA Prep
As we go into testing prep crunch time, here are some great ways to prepare your child at home! First, encourage your child. Remind them to do their best, but keep it positive! This can be a very stressful time for them, and they need to hear you cheering from them no matter what! Second, go over the practice pages that go home each day with them. They should be filled out with all correct answers. Have your child explain the math to you, have them read fluently the stories, and ask them questions similar to what's written. This will keep their minds engaged as they use these to study at home. Third, encourage stamina building. Set a timer and have your child practice doing work for that timer until it goes off. Staying on task independently is a big part of this test, and practice at home will help them feel confident!
Virtue Focus: Faithfulness
This week we'll be discussing how we can remain faithful to ourselves and be true to our ideals, even when its hard! One way you can encourage this at home is discussing how to do the right thing even when there's peer pressure or when we're tired!
