" The boot is a replica of the boots I wear everyday. The boot symbolizes my patriotism and pride for the flag. It took me 2 weeks to fully complete this artwork. The color is created with shoe polish to give it the look of leather with wear on it. The boot shows the side of me that wants to explore new things."

" Creating this project meant alot to me. I created this project for my two grandpas that passed away from cancer. I painted the ribbon orange due to both of their cancer ribbons being orange. To create this project, I used pinch pots, coil, and slabs. "

" When I started sketching my idea for a slab pot with the Elements of Art and Principles of Design in mind, I ‘kept to the vivid colors of the fruits and their textures and shapes. I also wanted the fruit and frosting to make the whole piece cohesive and create a sense of balance and unity."

" For our Sociological Project, I created a deteriorating peace sign to demonstrate world peace. Instead of the usual bright and vibrant colors that are seen on peace signs, I decided to use dark colors along with cracks in the design to show how the peace in our world is at a breaking point. For the base of the sculpture, I used fiery colors to show that the state of our world has not ceased from war and destruction. Nonetheless, I had a great time building this sculpture. "

I am also very proud of all the different patterns I chose because it gave me a great challenge. This coil vase came out exactly how I wanted it to look. This project let me express all the creativity I have inside."

"My character bust was inspired from, “Dragon Ball Z,” specifically the main and most recurring villain. Emperor of most of the 7th Universe, Frieza. Frieza was first introduced in the Namek Saga, being the person to trigger Goku’s transformation in a Super Saiyan, and after being defeated on Namek, Frieza has since held a large grudge against Goku. Returning to do battle after his resurrection, going toe-to-toe with Goku once more, with Goku in a fabled Super Saiyan Blue, and Frieza using a powerful new form by the simple name of ,“Golden Frieza."

"For the, "Tile Project," I could choose what colors I wanted to use. I decided to choose a bright yellow glaze called, "Dandelion.”I coated this color on the tile three to four times with an artist sponge. For the design I wanted to be able to see it but didn't want it to cover all of the yellow glaze. I taped down half of the template and chose the glaze color, "Cotton Tail.” I repeated the same process as the yellow glaze by coating it three to four times with an artist sponge. Once I removed the template I had noticed it had leaked through. I then used a needle tool to scrape around the edges removing the excess color. Once it was glazed my final project came out to look better than I had imagined."

"Overall, I’m happy with how my final project came out. I think it turned out symmetrical and has a good variety of coils. I also think that the holes on the side break up the design nicely. If I could go back and change anything, I would pick a different color scheme. I think the colors looked better before they went in the kiln."

" I chose the leaf theme of my tile project because I love nature, especially trees and wooded areas. So the first thing that caught my eye when I saw the designs available were the leaves. The leaf design was actually very difficult to glaze though. The thin lines were almost impossible to cleanly glaze, but I love the finished product."

" For my vase I made sure I created every layer with a different color so that nothing blended in with each other and avoided making it look dull. For the top layer I used the color Orange-a-Peel and the stripes I used Moody Blue and Blue Isle. On the spheres I used the color Sour Apple. Next, for the rainbows I used Pink-a-Boo and Cheeky Pink. The next color I used was Rosey Posey and Teal Next Time. For the bottom 3 colors I used the same Cheeky Pink and Sour Apple and then I used the color Dandelion. For the inside of the vase I just put a thin layer of Pink-a Boo. Each color I painted on three layers to make sure it was as vibrant as I wanted it to be. "

" When I was creating this piece I thought about my mom. I wanted to make this for her and I know how she likes lots of colors. I think that I could've done more layers for the lighter colors because they look a little transparent. Also, I could've been more careful when painting to not get the paint from one color area onto a different color area. None of the colors or designs mean anything. I think I smoothed out the inside and the outside well."

"My coiled vase is called “The Flame” because because of the colors on the vase resembling a fire. I have been using the fire pattern for many of my projects, creating a common theme. The problem I faced while painting this was getting into all the small cracks, but I glazed them by using a small brush. Overall I think it came out good. "

" This project was one of my favorite projects this year by far. I enjoyed the simplicity of the experience I had building this artwork. I just wanted some basic flames and I think I succeeded in creating what I had imagined. I learned a lot through the glazing of this tile, like how to ombre the different colors to create the fade."

"In building this, I put two triangles on both sides and made sure that they didn't fall. Then I had to make sure that the top of the piece had support . I realized I could do something cool with them so I turned them into snakes. The main theme of my large was to put some flames on them because flames are cool. I didn't take any photos when I was painting but I continued with the color scheme of a volcano and a black & yellow snake. I like this piece because of all of the creativity. "

" I decided to create a castle with three levels of turrets and patterns reminiscent of medieval times.. The issues I ran into with this assignment taught me that if you build a strong foundation, nothing can tear you down. The colors I used were so vibrant that I knew the turrets would need to unite the piece, this is the reasoning behind the checkerboard pattern."

" After looking up some ideas I decided I wanted to do a box dedicated to a sunflower. It took a minute to figure out how to sculpt it, but once I did it was easy. Since I wanted the flower and vines to stand out, I painted the rest of the box white."

"Making this project was a lot of fun. I began by laying the clay. The clay was then folded into a bowl form since I preferred it to the tray for my design. I was considering using it as a bird bath! However, I'm hesitant to leave this outside for fear that it will break. The glazing for this was surprisingly simple. I really enjoy how the leaves protrude from the design overall. I am thrilled with the outcome."

I think that making some of the smaller/more detailed designs was tedious and difficult but when making some of the bigger/less detailed designs it was easier and I struggled less. I was happy with the way it came out and I like the way the colors fade. If I could go back and change what I did, I would just make some of the designs neater."

" For this project, it was instructed that we had to pick a stencil and focus on our glazing techniques. Once I had saw the stencil of this flower, the movie, “Tangled, “ instantly came into my mind. I drew inspiration from the colors of the movie and used them to create this piece. This is by far one of my favorite pieces I have created this year."

" I made this project by creating six slabs and then slipping and scoring them together. From there I carved the top and added a handle in the shape of a ball. After all of that was secured and smoothed, I started to work on the three flower and sun designs. I created all the flowers and the sun by following my sketch then slipping and scoring them on. After it came out of the kiln I glazed it and it went back in to produce the final product."
