All faculty are required to complete ADA Awareness (Tapestry), Harassment & Discrimination Prevention (Groundswell), Title IX and Sexual Misconduct Training (Meridians), and Cybersecurity Awareness Training.  These Professional Development courses must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.

e.      Click on the course that you need to complete your training


Full-time faculty are required to complete 12 hours and adjunct faculty 4 hours of professional development every fiscal year.

Regardless of position, if you attend a Faculty Interest Group (FIG), you get PD.

Regardless of position, attending LAG meetings, whether they be informational kick-off meetings or assessing students' Reflection Exit Assessment, you get PD.

Activities Outside ACC  (Professional Development)

Professional Development activities outside of ACC must be approved by the department chair prior to attendance in order to receive Professional Development credit.

CLS Conference Landing

 (In-house CLS workshops & Summits)

The Composition & Literary Studies Department offers a limited number of in-house, department-sponsored workshops each year. CLS faculty members may receive professional development hours for attendance and are encouraged to come collaborate with colleagues in a relaxed symposium-like environment.
