Miranda Fontanella is flying her way down to FAU

Senior Miranda Fontanella will be attending Florida Atlantic University this coming fall, studying psychology and sociology with a minor in creative writing. She is hoping to eventually spend a Semester at Sea, feeding into her traveling desires.

On the topic of her traveling, she sees herself roaming the world and exploring new cultures in the future. Her goals to “gain perspective on different cultures” will undoubtedly be met.

Back to the short term goals of Miranda, she comments on graduation, “I’m super excited to get out of Ohio and see what’s out there for me in other places.” Clearly, her ambition is going to take her places.

In her time at Aurora, each year has offered her so many new experiences and memories. Her favorite of the many would be the homecoming after COVID.

“I was super excited to have time with my friends after being in quarantine for so long,” she says. Miranda loves the school dances, or any dance for that matter. If there is a dance floor, she will be on it.

Not only has she made a lot of memories, but she has also made a lot of connections. One of the teachers that has the biggest impact on her would be Dr. Munson.

In regards to Doc Munson, she says, “He showed me how to learn instead of just getting good grades.”

As she is leaving Aurora, Miranda would give underclassmen, or anyone for that matter, this advice: “Don’t worry about what others think, just be yourself. You will never be happy conforming to what others want you to be. So what if they think you’re weird?”

All in all, if you need a fun, quirky friend with quite the warm and bright future ahead of her, get to know Miranda Fontanella! Good luck to you Miranda!
