Dominic Clause

Senior Dominic Clause will enjoy the sunshine and bright rays at San Diego State University in the fall. He explains that he has “always wanted to live in California, and San Diego has always been a top choice, so this feels like the perfect opportunity” for him.

At SDSU, Dominic will major in public relations since he has “always loved English” and feels like “public relations would be a good way to incorporate [his] intellectual interests as well as [his] personal interests.”

Following his years at SDSU, Dominic’s vision is that by 2034, he will have his own “reality TV show following [him] around” and showing his daily life. Additionally, he aspires to have his “own clothing line at Kohl’s, multiple brand deals, and hopefully, be on the cover of multiple magazines.”

However, if his senior superlative of becoming famous doesn’t unfold, he says, “I may have opened my own personal PR firm with my friend Eva Logan, who is also majoring in PR.”

Before Dominic moves into this next chapter of his life, he reminisces on the time he enjoyed at AHS. He says, “My favorite memory in high school has to be doing cartoons in Mr. Rubin’s class. I loved doing them every day with my best friend Alayna and having discussions with the class about what they meant.” He also added that he “loved dancing at homecoming.”

The Greenhouse has not only provided great memories that Dominic will hold onto as he graduates and advances, but it also has fantastic teachers who have ingrained educational and personal impacts beyond belief into students.

Dominic explains that during his “junior year, [he] was lucky enough to have Ms. Hilston for AP Language and Composition.” He continues, “Ms. Hilston not only inspired and taught me how to be a better writer and reader but also a better student and friend, and I am so grateful for that.”

Leaving everything and everyone behind to pursue his passion will be difficult, but he is still excited to start his life at San Diego State. He said this: “Although I am excited to move forward into the next chapter of my life, I will miss my friends, my teachers, and most importantly- my mom, who has been such an influential figure in my life. Yet, I am still filled with extreme excitement as I step into a new chapter of my life.”

As Dominic Clause leaves AHS, he expresses that he “really enjoyed my time here and will cherish these forever, and AHS has truly prepared me for the rest of my life.”

Furthermore, he advises underclassmen to “Make sure you do things for yourself and try things even if your friends aren’t doing them.”

As he throws his cap up and celebrates this new chapter, Dominic Clause leaves AHS with this senior quote: “Life is full of risks anyway: why not take them?” - Lindsay Lohan.
