Becoming a runner is a journey of lessons towards better understanding your mind and body. One major example of this is understanding what running form your body responds best to. My project, to build a smarter shoe, has the goal of helping me answer one dimension of my journey of running. Do I want to be a heel striker, or a forefoot striker? Any person in the running community could give me an oppinion, but I wanted to try to help myself learn how my body best responds to the different running styles.
