There are certain experiences throughout the year that are critical to the effectiveness of the program and your leadership development within it. As a student, you have the responsibility and obligation to make choices and balance your priorities. As a member of the NGSC, when you make those choices, you must keep in mind that there are no excused absences or make-up options for any required events (the only exceptions being ASU class requirements and religious holidays). Should you miss an event, your absence or failure to participate will be documented, and after each semester, program staff will evaluate your participation as a member of NGSC. Failure to comply with participation standards of the program will impact your program status resulting in a warning, probation, or removal from the program, including a possible reduction or loss of your PSA Scholarship.
Students who do not meet program requirements including missing mandatory events will have a change in their program standing at the end of the semester. Students will have the opportunity to appeal this decision. Read the full appeals process here.
