Loop Head Podcast (& Blog)
Concept
Concept
A podcast is an audio piece on a certain topic which can be downloaded or streamed from the internet. Podcasts have become very popular and can attract and accumulate huge followings.
The Loop Head Podcast (and Blog) would come in weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments and showcase and celebrate all aspects of life on the Loop through interviews or narrated scripts which can be made more interesting by adding other sound pieces, sound effects or music clips.
Topics covered could be but are not limited to:
Personal and business Portraits & interviews
Loop Head Together projects
Farming
Fishing
Bird- and Whale-Watching
Nature & wildlife
Geology
Event reports
It is envisaged that the podcast would be run by a team to spread the workload. Training in producing, publishing and promoting a podcast would be provided.
It would also be possible to produce a written blog with each podcast which would increase the reach and attract an even wider and bigger audience.
Project Justification & Objectives
Podcasts are generally very popular and can have many thousands of followers and subscribers. The Loop Head Podcast (and Blog) would showcase Loop Head including the work of Loop Head Together and its partners and stakeholders to a new audience which would attract visitors and potential new residents and so directly contribute to Loop Head Together’s overall objective.
The podcast would also have the potential to create a revenue stream through sponsors and advertisers.
Potential Project Stakeholders*

*Potential Project Stakeholders means all stakeholders have not necessarily yet been contacted to help co-design the project, but are mentioned here as they would be a desirable project partner. We may have forgotten some - please let us know!
