Loop Head Farmers & Crafts Market
Concept
Concept
The Loop Head Peninsula is home to a wide variety of artists, craftspeople and food producers. There is however no outlet that represents these individuals and showcases their products.
The Loop Head Farmers & Crafts Market would be held weekly or monthly at a central location on the Loop Head Peninsula, e.g. Carrigaholt Square, Querrin Schoolhouse, etc. or at different locations each week / month taking into account weather and seasons, e.g. open-air market in summer, roofed location in winter.
The event would also provide an opportunity for the exhibitors to connect directly with their customers and advertise additional services like workshops, farmwalks, etc.
Project Justification & Objectives
The Loop Head Peninsula Farmers & Crafts Market would not only increase the visibility of Loop Head’s artists, craftspeople and food producers and potentially create additional income, the market would also be a vibrant tourist attraction.
