Flipgrid is a great tool to use to gain thoughtful responses from your students. Whether you use Seesaw, Classroom or neither, you can utilize Flipgrid in your classroom.
Start by making a teacher account and setting up your "Grid" (it is your classroom hub where students will go to get to assignments or "Topics").
Once your grid is established, you can create topics (share this out to your kids with a link in Classroom or Seesaw) which are assignments or video prompts to which your kids respond (they take a video of themself talking as their response).
For global collaboration, check out GridPals, which integrates Flipgrid and the Pen Pal idea. This combined with Seesaw Blogs make great collaboration tools for Global Read Aloud, which started this week!
October is Keeping Kids Safe Online Month! A couple of quick mini-lessons in your class could make a world of difference! Here are some resources for you to use in your classroom as you talk about this important topic with your class.
Seesaw Activities:
This month, the STAR coaching focused on STAR Custom. Custom is very similar to the instructional resources from last month, but instead of SPG scores directing you to targeted lesson plans, Custom SPG scores direct you to targeted assessments for students. As an added bonus, when you assign assessments to students (either by an individual, small group or whole class) it pushes it out to the student so that the next time they log into Renessainse, they see a "To Do" list with what assessments they can click on and complete. This would be a great resource to help guide instruction in IE groups! Check out the coaching site to find out more on how to make this feature work for you!
Seesaw released some updates that will make your life easier. Here is the rundown.
