There are so many important reasons to use formative assessments in the classroom. Through the use of informal formative assessments, you can gauge student understanding and help guide your instruction. The most incredible part of these apps/websites is that the student assessment happens in such a fun and engaging way that students will have fun and not stress about the questions like other assessments. Here are some fantastic blog posts on Formative Assessment Tech Tools: Shake Up Learning, Steve Wick, and J2 Training. You also can chime in on the Formative Assessment Padlet by NVEdTech to share your favorites and find tools that peers and colleagues suggest. If you want help or want to learn more, I would be happy to help!
Hyperdocs are a great way to give your students all the resources they need in one place. They can come in many different flavors or forms such as: choice boards, syllabus, assignment directions, Seesaw activity. The basic gist is that you can use Google Drawings or Google Docs to add lists or images of resources and then highlight the text or image and insert hyperlinks. When you save this as a PDF, the kids can still access it and click on all the links to go where you need them to go. Examples of how to use this in your classroom include: Small group Reading or Math rotation choice board, Choose Your Own Adventure assignment syllabus, Show What You Know writing celebration, and many more. Last, but not least, here are some great hyperdoc resources by Steve Wick.
