Mystery Hangout signups just went out. If you don't have time to do a Mystery Hangout on a predetermined date, but you love the idea of one, here are a couple resources that will give you that global connection and mystery game feeling on your own time. (Mystery Hangouts are a combination of 20 questions and Battleship where you take turns narrowing down the options until you guess either the secret location or number)
Mystery Animal - If you don't have time to connect with another school, but want your students to play a process of elimination game, this is a great one. See if you can figure out the animal is 20 questions or less by speaking into the computer microphone.
Where in the World- Set up a Mystery Hangout collaboration with another school and send clues and responses when you have time.
Hangout With an Expert- This site is a listing of professors from the area in the fields of science and social sciences (NEW). These experts would love to Hangout, visit or help set up a site visit. Think of it as a local Mystery Doug. You can search under the teacher tab for the topic of your choice and see what experts match your criteria and find directions on the site for how to do a Hangout.
