Clinical Practice Qualifications

Requirements and Prerequisites

All teacher candidates in the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Department of Special Education are required to successfully complete Clinical Practice prior to recommendation for a Credential and conferral of a Master's Degree.  In order to participate in Clinical Practice, teacher candidates must:

• Be an active student in the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or the Department of Special Education prior to submitting a Clinical Practice Application.

• Complete all required coursework in Modules 1-5, with a grade of B- or better.

  • If a course is not passed with a B- or higher in the term directly prior to Clinical Practice, placement and/or participation will be canceled until the coursework clearance requirement is met.

• Apply for Clinical Practice by the term deadline

• Submit all required documents for Clinical Practice.
